Straight-line performance testing of a superbike can be tricky, especially the first two or so seconds. With the Aprilia Tuono V4 A-PRC we tested recently, it was easier, as there are different electronic settings that keep the front wheel on the ground, and assist the rider to get as much of the available power down.

The GSX-R750L1 has less power and torque compared with the Aprilia, so you can use more revs when launching the bike, and can pin the throttle sooner.

Watch the video of one of our acceleration runs during testing. On another run we saw an indicated 277 km/h. Downloading the test results from our Racelogic VBOX we noticed its true speed was closer to 260 km/h.
