Goodwood Gumpert Apollo Crash From Inside The Car [video]

Last month we showed you footage of a Gumpert Apollo crashing into the hay bales during the hillclimb event at this years Goodwood Festival of Speed [here] and reported that neither driver Tony Gilham or his passenger were seriously hurt. Well it turns out, based on this onboard footage of the crash, that the passenger, Nancy Atkinson Turner, was actually very lucky to escape with only a sore neck. In this video we see that Turner struggles initially with securing her helmet’s chin strap, her racing harness is left alarmingly loose around her shoulders, and that the impact with the bales was somewhat heavier than initial footage suggested…
