ALGARVE, PORTUGAL – Jaguar recently undertook its 2012 model year performance drive in and around the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal to show off its latest performance wares. After the tranquil locales of the Portuguese countryside, the press gathered at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve – a 4,7 kilometre amalgamation of fearsome hairpins, double apexes and blind undulations used as a race circuit for GP2, GT racing and the odd spot of F1 testing – to put the Jaguar XJ Supersport and the company’s quickest car since the XJ220, the 405 kW XKR-S, through their paces. In between the country drives and the action on the racetrack, I wielded smartphone to take some snaps of the following models as their tyres cooled:
Jaguar XKR-S:
Power – 405 kW
Torque – 680 N.m
0-100 km/h – 4,2 secs
Top speed – 300 km/h (limited, yes you read correctly…limited)
Jaguar XJ Supersport:
Power – 375 kW
Torque – 625 N.m
0-100 km/h – 4,9 secs
Top speed – 250 km/h (limited)
Jaguar XKR Convertible
Power – 375 kW
Torque – 625 N.m
0-100 km/h – 4,8 secs
Top speed – 250 km/h (limited)
