Nürburgring drive experience with Jaguar [video]

“Brake, brake, brake! Turn in smoothly, and feel the G-force building. Unwind the steering and accelerate hard”. The words from our instructor crackle over the two-way radio. Trusting him completely I follow his lead with speeds approaching 200 km/h through an Armco infested, mostly blind forest road…

Jaguar has invited a group of journalist (including myself) to see and experience their development efforts at the Nürburgring test center. It was a risky ploy as there were no new models to wow us with but rather three existing 5,0-litre V8 supercharged monsters in the form of the XFR, XJS and the lairy XKR-S.

What we were not ready for was the magic spell of the Ring and surrounding area. To a motorsport enthusiast this must be one of the ultimate venues in the world. With racing history abound and high performance machinery around every corner the petrol is soon rushing through the veins. The place shouts of passion and performance – exactly what the brand Jaguar wants to portray.
