Audi’s Electric R8 Tackles The ‘Ring [video]

Audi’s electrically powered R8 E-Tron is just about ready for market introduction, and to create some hype, it has recently sent its groundbreaking new car around the Nurburgring, where it clocked a time of 8:09, only five seconds slower than a R8 with a V8! But before you get to excited… production versions of the R8 E-Tron will be limited to 200 km/h. Also note how the absence of a glorious engine sound amplifies all other noises (wind and road).
